Owning an artwork by me is to own a gateway to my soul.
It is not supposed to be pretty, but colorful, raw and filled with contrasts which show through thick strokes of oil paint with my palette knife. A chaos exists within me which needs to be satisfied. It’s telling me to let go of all expectations, because nothing is the way you want it to. If I try to control something I allow it to control me. The things I own end up owning me. To control is to be not free. I’m setting myself free by painting without controlling my quick strokes with the palette knife. Channeling this energy with paint results in these artworks. To paint is to relive old memories, both good and bad because i cherish them all. They are me. The faces are too. This is truly addicting. It is like scratching a scab, like suffering from a nightmare but knowing its only a dream.
The works I create can be full of color, judging and demanding and they seize my attention. Sometimes I find myself in a staring contest only to realise i am doomed to lose. Afterwards they become a good company. A company keeping an eye across the room, or keeping an eye on me; it changes from day to day. They make sure to remind me of what I deserve.- kalle loebbert
ABOUT MY ART
I am a 24 year old artist from gothenburg, sweden. in 2020 i found my passion for oil paint and palette knives. As a child I payed many visits to museums which ignited a spark of inspiration and ambition for painting. During my teens I believed this spark was dead but I was wrong. After some turbulent years of my teens I had a lot to express. This is why i paint, to let go and to inspire you to let go. Since 2020 I’ve been selling artworks worldwide to those who appreciate my work.
