Owning an artwork by me is to own a gateway to my soul.
It is not supposed to be pretty, but colorful, violent and with vast contrasts which show through thick strokes of oil paint with a palette knife. A chaos exists within me which turns unbearable unless satisfied in a creative process. Channeling that energy with color results in these artworks. To paint is to relive old wounds and inflicted pain to others. This is truly addicting when regulated under controlled forms. It is like scratching a scab, like suffering from a nightmare but knowing its only a dream.
The works I create can be horrible, judging, convincing and demanding. They conquer the room and seizes attention. Sometimes I find myself in a staring contest only to realise i am doomed to lose. After the first expression has settled they become a Company. A company keeping an eye open across the room, or keeping an eye on me; it changes from day to day. The painting makes sure to remind me of what I deserve.- kalle loebbert
ABOUT THE ART
I am a 23 year old artist from gothenburg, sweden. My painting began in 2020 and I found my passion for oil paint and palette knives quickly. As a child I payed many visits to museums which ignited a spark of inspiration and ambition for painting. During my teens I believed this spark was dead but I was wrong. After some turbulent years of my teens I had a lot to express. Since 2020 I’ve been selling artworks worldwide to those who appreciates my work. So far I have done one solo exhibition and a couple of collaboration exhibitions.
